If you have set your Mac to allow apps only from the App Store and you try to install an app from elsewhere, your Mac will say that the app can't be opened because it was not downloaded from the App Store.*

If you own the older perpetual release of Office, you can download the new version of the apps from the Mac App Store, and purchase a new Microsoft 365 subscription using the in-app purchase option. In-app purchase offers include Microsoft 365 Family, and Microsoft 365 Personal. Your license from the perpetual release of Office will not work with the app versions from the App Store. Microsoft AutoUpdate is only used to get updates for apps that you download directly from Microsoft. If you download Office from the Mac App Store, then the App Store will provide you with future updates of Office. You may have other Microsoft apps installed on your Mac, and AutoUpdate will continue providing updates just for those apps.
The Company Portal app can only be installed automatically on devices using Intune that are already enrolled using direct enrollment or Automated Device Enrollment. For personal device or manual enrollment, the Company Portal app must be downloaded and installed to initiate enrollment. See Instruct users to download and install Company Portal.

When you download the Intune Company Portal for macOS devices version 2.18.2107 and later, it installs the new universal version of the app that runs natively on Apple Silicon Macs. The same app will install the x64 version of the app on Intel Mac machines.
Company Portal for macOS can be downloaded and installed using the macOS LOB apps feature. The version downloaded is the version that will always be installed and may need to be updated periodically to ensure users get the best experience during initial enrollment.
Company Portal for macOS can be downloaded and installed using the macOS Shell Scripts feature. This option will always install the current version of Company Portal for macOS, but will not provide you with application install reporting you might be used to when deploying applications using macOS LOB apps.
This release includes an update to our document model. If you open a local document using this version of the Mac app, it may lose data if someone with an earlier version of the Mac app opens it again. Workspace documents will be unavailable to open by anyone with an earlier version unless they download them first. Any changes they make will not update the Workspace document. For real-time collaboration, everyone will need to use the same version of the Mac app.
As a first-time user, you can download Citrix Workspace app for Mac from Citrix.com or your own download site. You can then set up an account by entering an email address instead of a server URL. Citrix Workspace app for Mac determines the Citrix Gateway or StoreFront server associated with the email address. Then it prompts the user to log on and continue the installation. This feature is referred to as email-based account discovery.
You can also uninstall Citrix Workspace app for Mac manually by opening the .dmg file. Select Uninstall Citrix Workspace App and follow the on-screen instructions. The .dmg file is the file that is downloaded from Citrix when installing Citrix Workspace app for Mac for the first time. If the file is no longer on your computer, download the file again from Citrix Downloads to uninstall the application.
